I was born in Australia, but moved to the UK when I was 3 years old. In the 1950’s, I started to work for a big national newspaper in London as an engineer. I worked for the same company for nearly forty years. I’ve been married to my wife, Daisy, for 56 years. She is my biggest inspiration in life; one of the main things I can say about my life is that I couldn’t live without her.

My intention of writing has come up just recently, although I have being spending time with journalists for all my life. I have started writing purely to put into words a story that I found moving at the time and because I have learned that behind every person there is a great story to tell.
